My name is Angela Logan and I am a private yoga teacher. I teach in my home studio in Elgin which backs on to the Oakwoods and is a lovely warm and tranquil space.
I believe a one to one lesson allows the yoga to be tailored to the student and not the other way around. This way the session can be dynamic if you feel energetic that day, or the session can be restorative if you are tired and require nurturing. Furthermore, I believe in fitting the practice to the person, not the person to the practice. Everyone is unique and the latest research on yoga demonstrates that the safest way to teach yoga is by having a sound knowledge of anatomy and tailoring the practice to the individual. The private lesson I teach you will work on the stability of the body as much as the mobility, as a strength is as important as flexibility.
I myself have a daily yoga practice and love that it is so adaptable – every day I can practice to my ability and needs of that particular day. I will share this benefit with you and give you the tools to create your own effective home practice. Reconnecting to ourselves is one of the most important things in life and the benefits can spill over into everything we do. I believe that yoga is for everybody and everyone is welcome to come and learn with me in a safe and supported environment.
